Advocacy and Campaigning.aspx)
Advocacy is the act of pleading or arguing for something.
The ISPCC fights for and on behalf of children and has done so for over 100 years.
What we do
We work towards achieving a good child protection system. This involves four components:
- Ensuring allegations, suspicions and disclosures of abuse are reported to the appropriate authorities
- Ensuring that the authorities have the resources they need to meet the demand on their services
- Ensuring those who are a known risk to children cannot gain unsupervised access to children
- Ensuring society can track the whereabouts and activities of those who are a known risk to children
